A Passion for Innovation from the Start

Founded in 1979, O.K.M. has always been a family-run company, driven by a passion for improving vision care. From the very beginning, we set out to make a difference by creating the first metal frames for corrective eyewear in our country. In 1989, we expanded into corrective lenses, becoming pioneers in this field and laying the foundation for what would become a legacy of quality and dedication.

Growth Built on Trust and Commitment

As our company grew, so did our commitment to excellence. In 1991, we transitioned to a limited liability company, centralizing operations at our Ajdovščina facility to better serve our clients. Expanding into international markets, we opened a distribution franchise in Croatia in 1999 and embraced cutting-edge Free-form production technology in 2004, launching our own brand of progressive lenses. We’ve always believed in building lasting relationships and providing solutions that meet the unique needs of opticians and eyewear professionals.

Looking Toward the Future Together

In 2024, we took another significant step forward with the opening of a new production center in Novi Sad, Serbia, and expanding into the Austrian market. These developments reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and growth. At O.K.M., we’re still a family business at heart, now guided by second-generation leader Jaka Kukovič, working every day to deliver high-quality, customizable solutions that help shape the future of vision care.
